Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of ai-beavers.com, the invite-only member portal, public project and profile features, newsletters, events, hackathons, donations, merch, forms, and other public AI BEAVERS community services.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the services. Some events, perks, or external platforms may have additional terms that apply together with these Terms.

Operator

AI BEAVERS is operated by Alexander Zakharov, Turmweg 31, 20148 Hamburg, Germany. Contact: [email protected].

What We Provide

AI BEAVERS is a community for people who build with AI. The public services may include:

  • Community and event information, city pages, calendar links, and newsletters.
  • Invite-only member accounts, profiles, matching, and project listings.
  • Project submissions, public showcases, winners, recaps, and community media.
  • Hackathons, team submissions, judging, public voting, leaderboards, and perks.
  • Beavership, Dam Keeper (formerly “ambassador”), sponsor, contact, and campaign forms.
  • Donations, recurring support, merch, order pickup, and related payment flows.

These Terms apply to the public and community services described here. If another service uses different terms, those terms will be presented with that service.

Accounts, Invites, and Member Profiles

  • Some community features require an invite code or approved access. We may accept, deny, suspend, or revoke access to protect the community and the service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • Profile, location, skill, interest, project, and availability information you provide should be accurate and not misleading.
  • You may not impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, share your invite code in ways that bypass intended access limits, or create accounts for automated abuse.
  • We may prompt you to complete or correct profile information if needed for discovery, matching, moderation, or eligibility.

Community Conduct

AI BEAVERS is built around practical, respectful collaboration. When using the services or joining events, you agree to:

  • Treat other members, participants, speakers, sponsors, judges, and organizers with respect.
  • Respect privacy, consent, confidential information, and intellectual property.
  • Use event spaces, venues, equipment, APIs, and sponsor perks responsibly.
  • Follow reasonable organizer, venue, safety, and moderation instructions.
  • Report safety, harassment, security, or fraud concerns promptly.

Harassment, discrimination, threats, abusive conduct, stalking, spam, fraud, vote manipulation, unauthorized scraping, or disruption of events or systems may lead to removal, disqualification, account suspension, or other appropriate action.

Submissions, Public Display, and License

You may submit profiles, project listings, logos, images, pitch materials, event content, testimonials, comments, form responses, hackathon submissions, or other materials. You remain responsible for what you submit.

  • You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and to let AI BEAVERS use it under these Terms.
  • You grant AI BEAVERS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, publish, adapt for formatting, promote, and distribute approved submitted content in connection with the community, events, newsletters, public pages, recaps, social posts, and partner or sponsor acknowledgements.
  • This license includes public display with attribution when the submission or event context is meant to be public, such as approved projects, team names, winners, rankings, photos, recaps, and showcases.
  • You retain ownership of your content. You can request removal of non-archive public content, but removal may not affect already published backups, lawful archives, screenshots, social posts, or records needed for legal, moderation, or event integrity reasons.

Moderation and Removal

We may review, edit for formatting, reject, hide, remove, limit, or annotate content and accounts if we believe they violate these Terms, create legal risk, undermine event integrity, harm community trust, or are otherwise inappropriate for the AI BEAVERS service. We may also preserve moderation records where needed for safety, audit, disputes, or legal claims.

Events, Hackathons, Judging, Voting, and Perks

  • Event details, dates, venues, capacity, agenda, speakers, sponsors, prizes, perks, judging formats, and eligibility rules may change.
  • You must follow event rules, venue instructions, safety requirements, check-in procedures, and code of conduct expectations.
  • Hackathon submissions must follow the published event rules. We may require team information, proof of participation, pitch materials, or check-in verification.
  • Judges, organizers, and automated tallying systems may make eligibility, voting, ranking, disqualification, and winner decisions. Unless stated otherwise, organizer decisions are final.
  • Public voting may require email verification, fraud checks, duplicate prevention, and delayed or adjusted leaderboard updates.
  • Perks, API keys, sponsor credits, subscriptions, physical items, or prizes may be limited, subject to sponsor terms, available only to verified eligible participants, and replaced or withdrawn if availability changes.
  • Winners, finalists, recaps, aggregate voting results, team names, approved project details, and event media may be displayed publicly with attribution.

Additional event-program terms are available on the Hackathon and Event Terms page.

Payments, Merch, Donations, and Subscriptions

  • Payments are processed through Stripe. You may be redirected to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe customer portal and must comply with Stripe terms.
  • Prices, availability, pickup options, shipping options, tax handling, and product descriptions may change before checkout is completed.
  • Merch may be limited, pre-order based, event-pickup based, or dependent on supplier availability. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes or fulfillment issues.
  • Returns, cancellations, refunds, and withdrawal rights are handled according to the offer details and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights you have under German or EU law.
  • Donations and recurring support help fund community operations. Unless expressly stated otherwise, donations are not charitable donation certificates and may not be tax-deductible.
  • Monthly donors can manage or cancel recurring payments through the Stripe customer portal where that flow is enabled.

The services link to or integrate with external platforms such as Luma, Meetup, Stripe, sponsor sites, social networks, calendars, maps, forms, API providers, and communication tools. External platforms are controlled by their own operators and terms.

We are not responsible for external platform availability, content, terms, privacy practices, pricing, eligibility decisions, or sponsor benefit fulfillment unless we expressly agree otherwise.

  • Spam, phish, impersonate, deceive, harass, or manipulate votes or eligibility.
  • Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, confidential without permission, or harmful.
