Please read these terms and our Code of Conduct carefully before participating.
Code of Conduct
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to providing a supportive, safe, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, gender, identity, disability, or background. This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, mentors, judges, and organizers in all event spaces, online and offline.
Expected Behavior
- Treat everyone with respect and courtesy. Be welcoming and inclusive.
- Be considerate in speech and actions. Harassment, discrimination, or offensive comments related to any personal characteristics are not tolerated.
- Be mindful of the equipment and venue provided.
- Show respect for different viewpoints and experiences.
- Respect the privacy and data use terms outlined in the Privacy Notice, including the use of participation data for profile creation purposes.
Unacceptable Behavior (Zero Tolerance)
- Harassment in any form, including inappropriate physical contact, sexual language or imagery, stalking, or unwelcome attention.
- Physical or verbal abuse.
- Sustained disruption of talks, judging, or other event activities.
- Violation of the rule that projects must be original and created during the event.
Reporting Incidents
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the Organiser Alexander Zakharov (at +49 177 369 2573) immediately.
Consequences
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Organizers reserve the right to take any action deemed appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event without refund.
Event Terms
By participating in the AI Hackathon Hamburg 2026 event, you agree to:
- Create original projects during the event timeframe.
- Respect intellectual property rights and not infringe on others' work.
- Follow all venue rules and regulations.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Grant organizers the right to use your project (with attribution) for promotional purposes related to the event.
Social Voting
By participating in the public voting system for hackathon projects, you agree to the following terms:
Voting Rules
- One vote per person: Each email address may cast only one vote. Duplicate votes are not permitted.
- Email verification required: Your vote is only counted after you verify your email address by clicking the link we send you.
- Vote is final: Once verified, your vote cannot be changed or withdrawn.
- Accurate information: You must provide your real name and a valid email address you have access to.
Public Display
- Aggregate vote counts are displayed publicly on the leaderboard.
- Individual voter identities (names and emails) are not displayed publicly.
- Project rankings are determined by total vote counts.
Eligibility and Fair Play
- Anyone may vote - voting is not limited to hackathon participants.
- Votes from fraudulent, fake, or duplicate accounts may be invalidated without notice.
- Organizers reserve the right to disqualify votes that appear to be part of coordinated manipulation efforts.
- The organizers' decisions regarding vote validity are final.
