Why make monthly support the default?+
Because monthly support is the clearest way to keep the community stable. Predictable donations help us plan space, tools, software, and the volunteer time behind free events instead of guessing month to month.
Can I still donate once?+
Yes. One-time donations are still available directly in the form. Monthly is the primary path because it is more useful for planning, not because one-time support stopped mattering.
Can I cancel or update my payment details?+
Yes. Monthly donors can manage their subscription securely through Stripe's customer portal, including updating payment methods or canceling whenever they need to.
Will I get a receipt or invoice?+
Yes. Stripe sends a receipt for one-time donations and invoices for recurring monthly support. It is not a charitable donation certificate.
