AI BEAVERS

Community guidelines

AI BEAVERS runs chat communities worldwide - a global Discord, a global WhatsApp, and city-specific local groups run by city ambassadors. These guidelines apply to all of them. They exist so the spaces stay high-signal and genuinely useful rather than becoming another promo feed.

What this community is for

Genuine interaction between builders, founders, and AI enthusiasts. Specifically:

  • Building stronger connections across the global and local AI and startup scenes
  • Sharing cool news, discussing ideas, and tracking what is happening in AI
  • Helping each other ship - blockers, feedback, intros, tool tips, demos
  • Finding opportunities: collaborators, jobs, venues, sponsors, and warm intros

What we appreciate

  • Sharing your project for feedback or early users - sparingly, and when it fits the conversation
  • Asking for help, blockers, tool recommendations, and specific intros
  • Discussing AI news, startup ideas, and the local builder scene
  • Helping others without expecting anything in return
  • AI BEAVERS event updates posted in Announcements by your city ambassador

What is not allowed

Self-promo spam

Repeatedly posting your own links, products, or content. Begging for likes, comments, follows, or engagement. One genuine share for feedback is fine - a recurring broadcast is not.

External event promotion

Posting events you organize, especially if the goal is ticket sales or profit. If everyone promotes their events, the group becomes noise. AI BEAVERS official events go in Announcements only, posted by the city ambassador.

Commercial solicitation

Paid courses, affiliate links, recruiting blasts unrelated to the ongoing conversation, and cold DM campaigns targeting group members.

Moderation policy

City ambassadors enforce these guidelines consistently. The escalation follows three steps:

1

Delete the post

When a post clearly breaks the guidelines, it gets removed. This may happen up to 1-2 times without a public thread or explanation.

2

Official warning

A direct message explaining which rule was broken and linking to this guidelines page. One clear chance to understand expectations.

3

Removal from the group

Repeated violations result in removal from the local group. If the person is also in global AI BEAVERS channels, the city ambassador escalates to the core team.

When in doubt about a borderline case, city ambassadors ask in the Beavership WhatsApp before taking action.
